American Horror Story fans are anxious to know the concept for the upcoming fourth season of the horror anthology series, but even the show's stars are left in the dark.

So far, only Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson have stated that they will be a part of American Horror Story season 4, but that doesn't mean they have any insider knowledge.

Paulson recently spoke to Elle magazine about season 4, saying that she knows very little about it so far.

"I don't know [what the next story is], honestly, because [co-creator] Ryan Murphy is VERY last minute about this stuff. But nothing, for me, will be more horrifying than having to breast feed Zachary Quinto with busted nipple covers," Paulson said, referring to a memorable scene in American Horror Story: Asylum.

Meanwhile, Lange talked to NJ.com about the next season of American Horror Story, which will be her last with the show.

"Ryan keeps things very close to the vest, so I don't know," she admitted, when asked about the concept. "Although apparently I'm going to have a German accent!"

Enstars previously reported on Murphy's comments about season 4, which included a tease that Lange would be sporting a German accent. The season is set to take place in the 1950s, following the pattern established by the show of contemporary one season and period piece the next.

The concept for season 4 could be revealed at PaleyFest 2014, where the cast and producers of American Horror Story will convene and speak at a panel for fans of the series. The Coven concept of season 3 was first revealed at PaleyFest in 2013. The American Horror Story panel will convene on Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.

American Horror Story season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on FX.
