Jackson Avery's mother comes to town on the next episode of Grey's Anatomy and it won't be a pleasant visit.

In a sneak peek, Ms. Avery is seen speaking with her son and April about their recent marriage and she's far from enthused. Catherine's main concern is protecting the family's assets.

April appears shocked by Catherine's subliminal message and asks, "Are you suggesting that I'm after your money?"

Jackson quickly steps in and tells his mother: "You're not going to march in here and start questioning my wife's character."

Yet, Ms. Avery seems to already have a firm opinion on April's character.

"You want to talk about her character?" she says. "She left a man at the altar. She broke his heart and humiliated him in front of everyone that he loves. I have no idea what she's capable of."

After April angrily insists she's not after Jackson's mother, Catherine hands over a postnuptial agreement.

Ms. Avery's concern comes after April dumped Matthew at the altar and ran off with Jackson, who proclaimed his love for her the day of her wedding. Shortly after, the two tied the knot.

Yet, while their union was overly romantic, their actions hurt two other people - April's fiancé and Jackson's former love interest Stephanie.
