Judging by a sneak peek at the rest of season 5 it seems like Louis Canning, played by Michael J. Fox, will be nominated to take Will's place at Lockhart/Gardner.
After the shocking episode, Dramatics, Your Honor, ended, CBS followed it up with a brief look at what to expect from the rest of the season. While mostly Will's close friends were seen grieving the preview also hinted at a new development. Seems like Diane hires Louis Canning to take Will's place at LG and everything seems to going out of control. As Canning steps in he also acts a bit douchey with some of the people who are meant to be working for him. In one scene he is seen asking Kalinda to do something for him and suggests that it is her job to be serving her, at which point she hurls an object his way -- while telling him that she served Will not him -- and storms out of the room.
In the clip Alicia is also seen completely lost and flailing, at one point she even fights with Peter who shakes her up and tells her all that's left is the two of them and they better work it out.
The preview for the next episode, The Last Call, of The Good Wife features a touching farewell to Will featuring flashbacks with Alicia, Diane and Kalinda.
The Last Call will air on March 30 on CBS.
