Batman vs Superman Exists Within Same Universe As The Dark Knight?

Eisenberg spoke with MTV News while promoting his new movie Rio 2 this week, admitting that he could not reveal any details about the Lex Luthor character.

"I'm not allowed to say anything about anything for the next six years," he quipped, when asked if he would go bald for the role. The actor even admitted: "I haven't called my mom back in months."

Ben Affleck To Be "Biggest, Leanest, Baddest" Batman Ever?

The casting of Eisenberg as Lex Luthor has been met with praise by many actors who have played the character in previous projects. Kevin Spacey, who played Lex Luthor in the 2006 movie Superman Returns, said that Eisenberg was going to "f---king own it" in the role.

Clancy Brown, who has done voiceovers as Lex in many projects, praised Eisenberg's intellectual persona and how well it lends itself to the character.

In other (possible) Man of Steel 2 news, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently discussed his secret role in an upcoming DC movie, which may or may not be Man of Steel 2. The wrestler-turned-actor listed three qualities he was looking for to play the secret character, discussing the character with Comic Book Resources in a Tuesday report.

"The first quality we were looking for was that he had to be extremely complex and have a lot going on. What that does for me as an actor and the studio is it gives us space that we can explore; his complexities," The Rock noted.

The second quality he listed was that the character would have never been "brought to life" before. He said that portraying a character for the first time on film gives him space to creat a personality.

"The third thing - and most important - is he had to be a badass mother[frick]er, OK, and on a Superman level of power, where [he] could throw down," he said. "In those three qualities, I'm happy we've found that character."

It has not been confirmed if The Rock will be appearing as his character in Man of Steel 2 or a different DC property.

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
