Fame is a hard thing to adjust to for any new actor, singer or general performer.

Going from the unknown and being somewhat obscure to suddenly having paparazzi watching your every move is just one added stress to fame. While difficult on new adult stars, the stress is worse on child stars, who are already putting themselves through a difficult time by working at a young age, instead of just going to school like other kids.

Added to the pressures and stress which can affect young child stars, they tend to make more money than they know what to do with, and in most cases, cannot even legally be in control of until they are much older.

As a result, several kids and teens who rise to fame eventually start making headlines for reasons other than their talents. Whether they are caught in promiscuous situations, arrested, or getting wasted and high at clubs, their exploits soon become plastered on every magazine cover and television screen, and they soon become more famous for those actions than they do the work they've produced.

Some of these stars do manage to eventually find their way back to fame again, cleaning up their lives and learning to adjust to becoming adults in the public eye, though some sadly wind up becoming cautionary tales in the business.

Enstars compiled a list of eight former child stars who have become more known for exploits off-screen as they grew up. Some have since managed to turn their lives back around, while others are still fighting to make it back.
