Almost Human has become one of Fox's few breakout shows of the 2013-2014 TV season, and it seems that a renewal is imminent, according to a new report.

Karl Urban Threatening To Quit Television If Almost Human Isn't Renewed?

It was previously reported on TVWise that Almost Human was pretty close to a season 2 renewal on Fox, and now the publication is reporting even more good news for fans of the show.

A new report by TVWise states that they've heard a second season renewal is now a "sure thing." The report also noted that Fox has scheduled an encore presentation of the Almost Human season 1 finale for May 17, which is just days after the network's upfront announcement.

The network has actually renewed most of its shows already from the 2013-2014 TV season, despite relatively low ratings for many. Among them are shows like Glee, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mindy Project, all of which get between two and three million viewers per week.

However, Almost Human stabilized at around 5.5 million viewers during its 13-episode first season run, making it a relative hit for the network.

Thus far, the network has only cancelled The X Factor, Raising Hope, Rake and Us & Them. TVWise is reporting that Enlisted is likely going to be cancelled in addition to Surviving Jack, while Dads will likely be renewed.

There is no word on how many episodes the second season of Almost Human would be, but it would presumably continue with a 13-episode run.
