Carrie Fisher is set to reprise her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII, and she may have an entirely new look while bringing back some of her earlier roots at the same time.

Episode VII Concept Art Will Be 'Amazing?'

On Wednesday, the actress's mother, Debbie Reynolds, revealed some details to Mario Lopez on Extra on what her daughter's been up to now that she's in London filming, involving a massive weight loss.

"She's very excited about it...she's been on a diet ever since because you know they have to be up to par, so she looks terrific, she's lost 40 pounds," the actress's mother said. "She's very excited as we all are because we all love Star Wars."

Episode VII Gets Another Filming Location?

This gives some anticipation on how Fisher, 57, will look like for the role, and if she will have the same figure she had in the first three films.

Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford are also set to return for the film to continue as Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.

Even though Fisher might be excited to reprise her role, there's been a rumor that Ford may not feel the same way.

In a recent story from Entertainment Weekly, the actor mentioned a while back that there might not be much left to do with Han Solo anymore.

"The breadth of his story utility was never extensive," Ford said on his Star Wars character. "He was the foil between the other more compelling elements of the film, between the sage old warrior and the young hero. There's not much breadth of character to explore what we got out of him."

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
