It looks like the filming of Star Wars: Episode VII could have an added shooting location in Iceland, which is supposedly set to happen at the end of April.

Five Actors In Competition For Lead Role?

On Wednesday, Visir posted the news in Icelandic language, which was translated on Yahoo! Movies. It appears that the filming in this country is supposed to be for "plate shots."

"On the front page of an Icelandic newspaper there was an article about a crew coming over in April," Jedi News reportedly said. "And shooting some plate shots that are to be used for Episode 7 and that if they like it here they might shoot more scenes with cast and crew."

Episode VII To 'Deliver Extraordinary Cinematic Experiences?'

According to what appears to be a close translation from the site, sources may have mentioned that a production company called True North is assisting the shooting team in the country.

The site then explained how "plate shooting" works.

"It will probably be 'plate shooting,'" they said. "Where the shooting team takes pictures of the landscape beyond. These images will then be potentially used as a background when items are taken up with the actors in the studio."

Another filming location for the new Star Wars flick is reportedly going to be in London after Jim Jeffries from the TV show Legit told Sirius XM's Opie & Anthony Show that actress Carrie Fisher will be heading there for six months.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
