The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have been rumored to have some kind of wild romance, and some new details were reported on if they're dating or if they're just friends with benefits.

There have been rumors that the two stars could be trying out a relationship for the second time, but on Saturday, Hollywood Life reported that the two just seem to be having steamy fun with each other whenever they get a chance.

"They go back to each other from time to time for the familiar hookup but his [Ian] wandering eye makes it hard for her to take a relationship seriously," a source told the site.

Apparently, Dobrev might want more from her co-star, but he might just want to live his single life to the fullest.

"She likes him more than he does, but he wants the bachelor life now that he can take advantage of it," another source said. "So they are friendly- hook up occasionally, but are not dating."

The two stars have kept any romance between them fairly secretive lately especially through social media. Somerhalder posted a photo on his Instagram page on Wednesday with a message that gives a small hint on his love life.
