Grimm has been renewed for a fourth season, and certain characters are reportedly going to have a stronger storyline, especially Trubel.

Nick & Hank Investigation Chatter

On Sunday, Yahoo TV posted an interview with executive producer Jim Kouf, who revealed how things are going to be planned this fall for Trudel and how she's becoming more important to Nick.

"She's gotta be Nick's eyes for a while. She's become even more valuable to him," Kouf said. "It's like somebody who used to be able to see that cannot see anymore, but it doesn't make his life any easier. He knows the world works differently and now he is just not connected as he was so he has to rely on Trubel."

This creates a higher chance that actress Jacqueline Toboni will be more of a relevant character next season.

"That's definitely a possibility," Kouf said. "Everybody has fallen in love with Trubel and Jacqueline. It is a big thing to be plucked out of the University of Michigan with no real warning and be thrown onto the front line. She fit right in with the cast, the physicality of the role was not an issue for her as an athlete with three brothers, and is an incredibly confident young woman with a good sense of humor."

Kouf also revealed that Trubel was supposed to be on the series for only three episodes, and he didn't expect her to become a bigger deal.

Grimm Season 4 is expected to premiere this fall on NBC.
