Though their biggest threat appeared to be the English taking advantage of their people and culture, the cast of Amish Mafia could now be facing a bigger threat from their non-Amish counterparts--competition.

Producers Hinting Conflict Still Ongoing With Cast?

A new film, tentatively titled Inferno, and described as a kind of "Amish horror movie," is scheduled to film in the area this month, Lancaster Online reports. And while there may be some resistance to these film crews due to the sensitivities that have arisen because of Amish Mafia, the movie's crew is quick to make sure no one confuses the two projects.

Producer Daniel Shultz and director Ivan Kraljevic both spoke to the publication, insisting that they were completely different from the popular Discovery Channel reality series.

"That has left a bad taste in so many people's mouths," Kraljevic said. "We are completely the opposite."

Shultz, a native of the area who graduated from a local high school in 1993, also spoke out to insist that unlike the show, their movie aimed to be truthful to the Amish culture.

"I grew up here. I was here my whole life-and we know a lot about the culture," he said. "And we've seen the press on Amish Mafia-I watch it sometimes in L.A. just to see home. But it's a complete misrepresentation of how things really are...We have nothing to do with Amish Mafia."

The movie, which will star Lancaster native and Bold and the Beautiful actress Jennifer Gareis, will follow the story of an English family who moves to the area and starts experiencing unusual events and a presence on their land-but it suspiciously doesn't seem to bother any of their Amish neighbors.
