A second season has not yet been announced for AMC's historical drama Turn, but the show's executive producer is so confident the series will return to the network that he is already dishing on some of his plans for new episodes.

EP Craig Silverstein dished to Zap 2 It on his plans for a second season of the historical drama, which tells the tale of America's first spy ring, the Culper ring, and is based off of Alexander Rose's book Washington Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring.

After the show ended with Mary's (Meegan Warner) explosive confrontation with Abe (Jamie Bell) after she found out he had been lying to her about being a spy, Silverstein dished that in season 2, fans would get to see a completely different side to her.

"She's Team Mary, basically," he said. "...she has what she didn't have before, which is she has power now. She has a chip in the game. What's going to be interesting is to see how she uses this power to get what she wants."

Silverstein also teased that the characters would have some other challenges in a new season as far as their romances go. Not only would Abe continue to flip-flop between Mary and Anna (Heather Lind), but the added complication of Anna's husband Selah (Robert Beitzel) being alive would also come into play.

Silverstein also hinted that despite also questioning his loyalties as a spy, Abe will not be fully committed to the cause.

"I would say he's all in," Silverstein said. "Of course, now he has some extra complications in the form of Mary and stuff, but he's all in and on his terms...he's really kind of taking charge now, not just taking orders."

Fans can also look forward to the introduction of another famous historical spy in the second season-Benedict Arnold-and teased how the stakes would be higher for everyone involved.

"The information, the intelligence from the Culper ring actually begins to pay off big dividends. It's the thing that keeps the Continental Army alive at times," he said. "Showing that is going to be really fun, because they go on some missions, and some of those missions are ones that people may remember form your history books in terms of the battles. To see how the Culper Ring was instrumental in turning the tide one way or the other with their intelligence I think's pretty exciting. They play at a much higher level than Season 1."

Turn airs on AMC. An announcement about season 2 has not yet been made.
