Nothing stirs things during a finale quite like a pregnancy test. The mid-season finale for MTV's Awkward brought the drama this week, ending with a definite shocker.

Elizabeth Whitson Talks Playing 'Bad Girl' On MTV's Awkward?

It was finally revealed that Eva (Elizabeth Whitson) had been lying about her identity. Her real name is Amber Horn and the stories she's been telling everyone are not true.

"These kinds of people [like Eva]," explained show runner Chris Alberghini in a TV Line interview Wednesday, "And I feel like I've met some of them in real life, come from a place of deep-seeded vulnerability and wanting to belong... she's actually a vulnerable, damaged person."

Jenna Torn Between Matty And Luke On Awkward?

The episode ended with Eva revealing her positive pregnancy test. While there's been some buzz about whether or not is is real, showrunners Alberghini and Mike Chessler have assured audiences that the positive test was no trick.

"It was absolutely a positive pregnancy test," said Chessler, "So we come back in the fall, all of our characters will be dealing with the blowback."

Now that Eva's identity is out in the open, and she might just be carrying Matty's (Beau Mirchoff) child, what will she do? Will Jenna (Ashley Rickards) stay and deal with Matty or go after the college boyfriend who left her? Who will Matty choose?

Then of course there's Tamara and Jake, who have just become friends again, but will they get back together?

Awkward returns to MTV this fall to finish off its fourth season.
