The most recent episode of MTV's Awkward, which is in it's fourth season, certainly ended on a low note. Matty (Beau Mirchoff) and Jake (Brett Davern) got themselves arrested and Jena (Ashley Rickards) realized she had feelings for Matty only after setting him up with Eva (Elizabeth Whitson). Jenna is still seeing her college boyfriend Luke (Evan Williams) and the relationship doesn't seem to be as solid as Jenna had thought it was.

The preview for this week's episode, entitled Prison Breaks, indicates that the episode will address a lot of looming questions and, of course, add some new ones. Will Matty and Jake get out of trouble? What will Eva do? Will Jenna act on her feeling for Matty? And, who is the girl in Luke's bed?

 

While Jenna might be able to put her feelings towards Matty on hold, she will have to address the girl she meets in his room unexpectedly when she goes to visit Luke at college. Is he really cheating, or is MTV using the clip simply to misguide audiences?

Either way, the foundation of Jenna's relationship status is beginning to shift and will likely find a final answer by the season's end. Will she choose between Matty and Luke, or decide she is better off without either of them?

In the preview, Jenna refers to the guys at college as "real men," but as she suffers romantic mishap after romantic mishap, she may begin to wonder if there really is such a thing and, if there is, it might not be what she expects.
