Andrew Lincoln, who's also known as Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead, teased some details on what fans can expect to see next season as well as how much he's looking forward to being back.

Character Will Scream For Help While 'Limping?'

On Friday, the actor spoke with Gold Derby about the series with some news on what's about to happen in the first episodes. Odds are high that nothing will be held back.

"Certainly the first few episodes just -- there are no holds barred," Lincoln said. "We come out of the blocks at full speed. So it's an interesting experience because it's almost like we jump back into the middle of the heart of darkness."

Hillary Clinton Rumored To Join The Cast

According to the actor, there will probably be some big surprises not just for the fans, but for Lincoln as well.

"I think the first few episodes that I've read are astonishing," Lincoln said. "Not only for the energy and the emotional impact, but just story how they are able to develop character in amongst this incredible thrill ride. I'm really, really excited by it. I think if we capture 75 percent, 70 percent of what I read in the script, I think fans are going to be more than happy."

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the series, told Entertainment Weekly that the new scripts are the best he's seen at this point.

"There are a lot of characters right now, so there are a lot of really different personalities on set," Reedus said. "And it's super interesting, everyone's really bringing it."

The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere this October on AMC.
