Could Harry Styles be leaving One Direction? After a report came out that Styles may be working on a solo project, fans are worried that the singer could be going solo.

It all started last week when Kodaline frontman Steve Garrigan revealed he was writing for One Direction because of Styles.

"It was really strange how they came about," Garrigan told Digital Spy about Styles. "He just turned up to a show, and he likes our music. We had a bit of free time and so we went to the studio and wrote a song. It was good fun."

"There are hundreds of songs flying around," Garrigan continued about being picked to be on 1D's new album. "It could be on his album if he does something, but I don't know. Nothing is set in stone."

After this statement, fans got worried that Styles could be leaving One Direction, but a rep recently said they shouldn't be scared.

"There are no plans for Harry to release any solo music at this time, any writing that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs," a rep for One Direction told E! News on July 1. "It's common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album."

One Direction is currently on their Where We Are international tour. Styles was just spotted vacationing in Lake Como, Italy before the band is set to perform in Dusseldorf on July 2.
