After some turmoil hit the hit children's show Sam & Cat earlier this year, Nickelodeon has announced that they've canceled the program starring Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy.

Ariana Grande's New Song Takes On EDM Charts

McCurdy made headlines in March when she skipped the Teen Choice Awards even though her Nick show was nominated. "I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me," McCurdy wrote at the time. "I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you."

Many fans thought that it was because Grande was making more money than McCurdy, which Grande whole heartily denied.

"As far as the show goes, I don't know what's happening because I'm not directly involved with the problem," Grande wrote, "but I just wanted to address this one rumor in particular because I am NOT making more money than my co-star, nor do I think I should be."

Now the network has canceled Sam & Cat after only one season on air. Grande took to her Twitter to thank everyone associated with the show, including the cast, crew, Dan Schneider and her fans, but didn't address her co-star McCurdy by name. "Lastly, thank you to my fans who have been with me since all of this started... you are the most loyal, dedicated and continuously loving supporters I could ever imagine. We've been through so much and you are still here... and we've got a long way to go. :)"
