David Clarke is back from the dead, and whichever Revenge woman gains his ear first will be the one who determines the direction of season 4.

Clarke (James Tupper) dropped of the grid following his alleged prison death and, considering his long absence, no one knows how much David know about the recent going ons in the Hamptons.

"When Victoria discovers that David is back, is her first reaction terror because maybe he knows that she betrayed him?" said executive producer Aaron Harberts, according to E!. "What did David know? What is he aware of?" Berg added, "Who's telling the tale to David as to what went down after he went to prison?"

That story could vary wildly depending on if it comes from mouth of Emily/Amanda (Emily VanCamp) or Victoria (Madeleine Stowe).

"He may not be the most emotionally and psychologically stable and if Victoria is the first person to get to David, she might be in control of that guy, which sort of presents her power running through the season," Harberts explained to E!.
