The Long Island Railroad may be more comfortable than the ordinary train car in New York, but there are moments where it's just as infuriating.

Below are the eight worst things about commuting on the LIRR.

1) Two words: It's expensive. Most people pay over $200 for a monthly pass, and that doesn't include a MetroCard. What a joke.

2) The seat is meant for people, not a bag or an umbrella. But, many LIRR commuters seem to think otherwise. And, when you ask those types of people to move their items so you - a person - can sit, they look at you like you're crazy.

3) The train times are just ridiculous. For example, if you miss the 3:04 a.m. train to Port Washington on the weekend, you'll have to wait till 5:19 a.m. for the next one. What?!

4) Sure you transfer subways all the time, but there's something so irritating about those LIRR trains that have to change at Jamaica or Huntington.

5) Have you ever been to Penn Station at rush hour? Enough said.

6) Outlets are only available near the seat next to the door - so inconvenient.

7) The LIRR seems to attract all the drunks in New York. If you've taken the LIRR late at night or right after work, there are always those loud, drunk travelers.

8) The LIRR can't survive through difficult weather conditions. So if the LIRR is your only mode of transportation, you are forever stranded.
