The answer was yes. Fletcher nominated Ronaldo as part of the challenge on Thursday and Ronaldo decided to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. He tweeted yesterday, "Happy to take part of it #ALS #Icebucketchallenge @JMC_Foundation".

The rules for the ALS Challenge are you are supposed to either accept the challenge by pouring the ice on your head and donating ten dollars to the ALS charity of your choice or you may donate 100 dollars to the ALS charity of your choice and not pour the bucket on your head.

As part of the rules, after you participate you can nominate others to take the challenge. Ronaldo nominated Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Lil Wayne. Lopez even took it already. She wrote yesterday, "After workout #ALSicebucketchallenge Thanks @cristiano" Lopez then nominated Pitbull, Iggy Azalea and Leah Remini. Azalea than also took the challenge.

According to ALSA.org, as of Monday, August 18, The ALS Association had received $15.6 million in donations for their cause as opposed to $1.8 million during the same time period last year.
