Is Nick Cannon really not allowed to speak about his impending divorce?

Mariah Carey Heading On Tour

According to TMZ, Mariah Carey has forbid the Wild 'N Out host from saying a word. Her lawyers have created a strict confidentiality agreement and it's apparently "one-sided."

Cannon, 33, could face "severe financial penalties" if he discusses the divorce while Carey, 44, is able to announce their breakup whenever she sees fit.

The website noted that Cannon has the right to confirm their living situation, which he already did on Thursday.

"There is trouble in paradise," he confirmed with The Insider. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months."

"My main focus is my kids," he added about the couple's 3-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2008 after only weeks of dating, are reportedly ending their marriage following months of not getting along.

Cannon's interview on Big Boy's radio show in March allegedly ignited a big feud between the two. On the show, the America's Got Talent host mentioned some of the famous women he's slept with, including Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks and Kim Kardashian. This didn't sit well with his wife.

The multiplatinum singer also didn't appreciate that Cannon revealed they hadn't slept together till after they were married. The You're Mine singer felt "humiliated and the relationship never recovered."
