Haven's season 5 premiere will hit TV screens in September, and the cast is starting to wrap production on the first half of their 26-episode season.

Set to air in two parts, the first half of the unusually long order will conclude with episode 13. Before the Haven cast takes a break, however, they will film the episode 14 for the 5B premiere.

"3 main unit days to hiatus! 13 and 14 almost complete!" teased showrunner Shawn Piller on Tuesday.

Despite the fact that all 26 episodes will fall under the title of season 5, the writers view 5A and 5B as two distinctly different seasons. As with most Haven finales, episode 13 will lead into the 5B premiere with a cliffhanger.

"We did from the very get-go think of it as two seasons," said writer Brian Millikin, according to Revisiting Haven. Speaking of the finale and premiere, Millikin noted "one follows the other, but one is the season finale-ish the other one is the premiere-ish where, but you're not supposed to have that now. But yeah, but it should be good, they both should be good."

A recent photo from actor Lucas Bryant (Nathan) claims that Havenites are in for a bumpy ride in the 5A finale.

"I can't take credit Lucas' [photo,] but what an amazing pic for a stormy finally," said Kris Wood, Haven's visual effects supervisor, regarding a shoot of set as a storm rolled in.
