Not only was Pattinson heartbroken to find out that long-time girlfriend Kristen Stewart had cheated on him, but Us Weekly reported that the "Water for Elephants" was even more upset because he was planning on proposing to her.

A close friend of the actor's told Us Weekly that Pattinson, 26, had been making plans to propose to Stewart, 22, wanting to "spend the rest of his life with her." The report includes that Stewart was ready to take the next step in the relationship as well, going as far as say at a wedding she attended that she was ready to have a baby with Pattinson.

A source said that Pattinson is "heartbroken and angry" by Stewart's infidelity and has not been in contact with her since news of her affair with director Rupert Sanders went public, according to People magazine.

However, sources told RadarOnline.com that Pattinson does want to talk to Sanders and get the full story of his affair with Stewart.

"Kristen has already betrayed his trust by cheating, so he can't be sure that she will tell him exactly what went on between her and Rupert. Rupert has a wife and a family to save, so Rob feels like he has nothing left to lose and would be honest with him," the source told Radar. "He was hurt and heartbroken, then angry and pissed off, and now he just wants answers. He feels like he needs to know exactly what happened, how far it went and how many times, so he can figure out if this is something he can move past."

Pattinson has already moved out of the home he once shared with Stewart. The couple had a three-year relationship that began on the set of the first "Twilight' film.

Though she already made a public apology about the whole affair, Stewart is reportedly planning to send a private apology to Sanders' wife, Liberty Ross, who played her mother in "Snow White and the Huntsman," according to the Daily News.
