Survivor host Jeff Probst admitted this week that one of the most famous contestants in the show's history made much of the crew fall in love with her.

Speaking with HuffPost Live, Probst discussed political pundit Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was a contestant during Survivor: The Australian Outback and how many of the guys on the crew fell in love with the then 24-year-old.

"When she was on the second season of Survivor, I will tell you this: Every guy on the crew fell in love with her. Every guy. We watched this young girl mature into this fighting phenomenon, and everybody wanted to date her. They thought about marrying Elisabeth. It was all in our fantasies," he admitted.

Probst added that he and the Survivor crew were happy when Hasselbeck earned a spot on the talk show The View back in 2003.

"We were so happy when she got on 'The View,' because that's incredible. But I will say, Elisabeth's politics have certainly changed over the time, and I'm not sure what to make of where she stands," he said, referring to her decidedly conservative point of view.

Overall Probst is a fan of her "never back down" style, which she became famous for during her 11-year stint on The View.

"I'm not saying I align with her, but I like that she does not back down, ever. I can see why she's still working, why she got another job quickly, because she's compelling to watch. You've got to give her that."

Hasselbeck is currently a cohost on Fox News' talk show Fox & Friends. In the mean time, Survivor is gearing up for its 29th season, San Juan del Sur.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur is set to premiere Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
