Fatherhood appears to be the right fit for actor Ryan Gosling.

Since becoming a dad one week ago, he has reportedly been so happy ever since that he's even "in love" with his daughter.

"Ryan is madly in love with the baby," a source told People, adding that both he and girlfriend Eva Mendes are absolutely overjoyed to be parents, with the 40-year-old actress loving her title of "mom."

"[She's] absolutely in heaven being a mom," the source continued. "She's never been happier. She and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It's a really special time for them."

And the couple aren't the only ones who are reportedly gushing over their baby girl-as both Grandma Gosling and Grandma Mendes have been doting over her as well.

"Ryan's mom and Eva's mom have both been helping," the source said. They have both been great. The grandmothers are both very excited and both very hands-on-as much as they can be."

Though their little girl is reportedly already one-week old, details about the baby have not yet been revealed-including her name, though the couple was reportedly mulling over ways to honor their mothers when they were still just expecting.

OK! Magazine reported soon after news of Mendes' pregnancy broke in July that the couple was leaning towards naming their child Thomas if it were a boy, after Gosling's middle name. However, if it was a girl, they were reportedly looking to name her Donna (after Gosling's mother), or Coral (a nod to Mendes' mother's maiden name, Corrales).
