During the viral live newscast, Greene said: "Now everything you've heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana. Greene uploaded a video to the Alaska Cannabis Club's YouTube page on Monday with a detailed explanation for her decision to leave the news station to focus on legalizing marijuana.

"There comes a time in each and every one of our lives when we must choose to continue to spectate or stand up for what's right," she said in the video. "Who is willing to take a stand? I'm not afraid, clearly," she later added.

She explained that Americans are unfairly arrested for marijuana possession. She also bashed the belief that regulating weed will force it on the youth and refuted its comparisons to drugs like crack. Greene also urged people to get involved and share their stories on marijuana.

"I'm making it my life work to uphold what America stands for truly - life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - ideals that now need to be defended," she added.
