Nicole Scherzinger, the judge from The X Factor as well as one of the Pussycat Dolls, is about to take on a new job that will require her to take on a different kind of talent.

Is Porn Star Belle Knox A Theater Fan?

On Monday, The Guardian announced that the singer will be making her Broadway debut in the popular musical Cats. In the revival made by Andrew Lloyd Webber, she will be playing Grizabella, the cat who's known as "the glamour cat."

While Grizabella is only a couple of scenes from the musical, she's known as an iconic role especially with the famous song "Memory." Scherzinger actually recorded this song with Il Divo for the opening track of their Broadway-inspired album A Musical Affair.

This ought to put Scherzinger into a whole new light considering she's been known for pop hits and reality competitions. And considering that Cats is a smash hit in theater, this could change her career depending on how she pulls off the part.

The preview for the show will begin at the London Palladium on December 6, 2014. The show opens on December 11, 2014 and will run until February 28, 2015.

A number of other singing celebrities have taken their careers to the stage, including Carly Rae Jepsen who played the leading role in Cinderella. This was probably a big change for her as well since she's also a pop singer doing something different.
