Fans may have assumed that they have some marital strife after spending so much time together both on-camera for Preachers of L.A. and off-camera, but Wayne and Myesha Chaney are addressing the rumors head-on, saying that they are hoping to actually counteract the negative portrayals of relationships on other reality shows.

"When you're married, God said turn up. We don't want other figures in the media who are just dishonoring God...We don't want them to become the standard," Wayne told Sister to Sister Magazine Oct. 1. "When they come to me talking about how smooth Stevie J [ of Love & Hip Hop; Atlanta] is, I feel like there needs to be an alternative that's young, fresh and fly. We're not just spirit and soul. It's spirit soul and body."

In addition to trying to show marriage as a positive thing, the two admit that their marriage takes work, but is one that they both find to be satisfying.

"Two people deserve satisfaction in a relationship. Our marriage has been the best it's ever been when I'm satisfied and he's satisfied," Myesha said. "There's something to two people feeling very confident in life in what they're giving and getting in marriage."

According to their couple's bio on Oxygen's website, the two successfully work together and have teamed up to make their Antioch Church of Long Beach one of the most prominent ones in the region. Wayne is a prominent pastor at the church, which was founded by his grandfather, while Myesha serves as Executive pastor and gospel artist.

Catch more of the couple as they prove their marriage is solid on Preachers of L.A., Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Oxygen.
