Speaking with Latino Post on Monday, William Levy, who plays painter Quentin Canosa and lover of main character Zoe in the film, talked about what fans could expect from his character and the layers he has.

"Quentin was definitely [unexpected for Zoe]. What you think is going to happen, doesn't happen," Levy said. "[Zoe] gave him hope. He realizes she doesn't really love her man [because] if not, she wouldn't be with him all this time... He wants to take this relationship to another level."

The film, which also stars Sharon Leal as Zoe, follows her exploits as she tries to fight her urges that leads her marriage astray and into the arms of many other men to fuel a new found sex addiction. Her husband Jason (Boris Kodjoe) tries to figure out how he lost his wife as the addiction poisons more and more of her life.

The AV Club reviewed the film, which is now in theaters, and found that the movie still finds time to multitask, preaching about sex-addict recovery while stringing together steamy sex scenes and managing to reduce Zoe's condition to a psychological problem rooted in her long-promised, late-deployed tragic backstory.

Addicted also stars Tasha Smith and is now in theaters.
