The cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is continuing to grow with every month, with such a huge cast of comic book characters that it is almost comparable to Marvel's The Avengers.

Wonder Woman Set To Be A 'Demigod' In 'Batman v Superman'

With the news that Jena Malone has been cast to appear in Batman v Superman in a yet to be revealed role (though most speculation says she's playing a female Robin), the cast is getting even bigger. Based on the cast list, it seems that Warner Bros. and DC are promising a big ensemble based movie.

Among the leading roles are Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Others confirmed to appear in the cast are Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Jason Momoa Confirms He's Playing Aquaman, Will He Appear In 'Batman v Superman?'

In smaller roles are Holly Hunter as a senator and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves, the assistant to Lex Luthor.

Other actors who are at least rumored to be in the film are Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, with Ezra Miller as The Flash also possible.

DC and Warner Bros. appear to be putting all of their weight behind Batman v Superman, hoping it will launch their Cinematic Universe in a strong way that can compete with Marvel's. They released a slew of titles set for release until 2020 that will be a part of the DC Cinematic Universe, including solo films for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Green Lantern, Shazam and the Suicide Squad, in addition to two Justice League movies.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
