Indestructible and interchangeable can be two high end words easily used to describe legendary gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps. However, they also are the characteristics of the headphones the star has sported before hitting the pool for competition at the 2012 London Games.

Wilsonville-based headphones company Sol Republic's Tracks are indeed stylish as they are colorful and sleek.  However, what makes the magical ear speakers in terms of quality is their stability, as they are easily twisty and bendable.  Amazingly, you can also switch out the colors on them as well.  Hence, the headphones alone are what puts out the actual audio sound.

Another neat feature is the "mic and remote control" aspect. There is a mobile microphone and remote control that can be utilized to control your iPod.  To top that off, the respective feature even allows you to answer and hang up phone calls as well.

Interesting to note, the brand is associated with Hix, a former Planar Systems and InFocus Corporation.  Their CEO Kevin Lee was actually a large contributing player in aiding in the development of the fast-rising Beats headphone brand by the infamous Dr. Dre, according to Biz Journals.

The Sol Republic Tracks and Tracks HD over-earphones are said to sell for $99 to $129.

Michael Phelps' medal count hit 21 on Friday as he extends his lead as the most decorated Olympian in Olympic Games history. However, he is still not done! Saturday will see Phelps in Olympic action one final time in the 4x100M Medley Relay, in what will be his final appearance at an Olympic Games ever.

The amazing achievement by Phelps, although not entirely unexpected, has still left fans and analysts alike stunned.
