The latest rumors state that the first official footage of Batman v Superman might be coming in the form of a teaser trailer in December. Batman-On-Film is reporting that multiple sources are saying a teaser is ready for release this fall.

While there was no indication of what movie the trailer would be attached to, the site speculated that it may be The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, considering New Line Cinema is a sister company to Warner Bros., the company distributing Batman v Superman.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is scheduled for release on Dec. 17, 2014.

Additionally, sources are reportedly saying that the first teaser trailer is "Batman heavy." As many fans are clamoring to see Ben Affleck's take on the iconic superhero, it makes sense for the company to do so.

The film is currently in production and also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Some members of the Justice League are also expected to appear in the film, including Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
