"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson's first interview since his breakup with Kristen Stewart will be on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

"Robert Pattinson is confirmed to appear as a guest on 'The Daily Show' this Monday, Aug. 13, to promote his new movie," a representative for the Comedy Central show told The Hollywood Reporter.

The 26-year-old will chat with Stewart to promote the release of his upcoming indie film, "Cosmopolis." It will be his second visit to the show in two years.

The article also reveals the red carpet premiere for "Cosmopolis" is scheduled for later that evening; Pattinson will speak to members of the press the following day.

As of Wednesday, the British actor's publicity schedule in New York to promote "Cosmopolis" is as follows:

Monday August 13, "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" airs at PM, EST

Monday August 13, red carpet premiere of "Cosmopolis" at undisclosed location

Tuesday August 15, press conference with news reporters at undisclosed location

Wednesday August, live television interview on ABC's "Good Morning America"

Since the cheating scandal occurred, Pattinson has reportedly been laying low at the vacation home of his "Water for Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon in Ojai, California.

"Rob's a total mess, trying to figure out why Kristen did this," an insider told US Weekly.

Radar Online reports that friends of the British actor have been trying to help keep his mind off the 22-year-old by hanging out with a group of friends at a cowboy dance club in California over the weekend.

"I've been told by several people that Robert Pattinson was here enjoying the music with his friends. He seemed in good spirits," a Deer Lodge employee told Radar Online exclusively. "I wasn't on that night so I didn't personally see him, but several others did."

"Cosmopolis" opens in the U.S. in New York and Los Angeles August 17.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" hits theaters on November 16.
