Country singer Tim McGraw recently spent some time in Los Angeles and in addition to visiting with friends he also got a chance to talk about his music, family, and upcoming sci-fi blockbuster.

While McGraw and wife Faith Hill have dealt with some paparazzi during their stay in California, the Shotgun Rider singer admitted that things haven't been too bad. "We're sort of low-hanging fruit," he admitted during an interview with CMT's Radio Live with Cody Alan. "We're not that hard to find."

Overall, however, the press wasn't too intense, though McGraw noted that he and his wife don't appreciate it when they try to take photographs of their three young daughters.

Tim McGraw Dishes On Leaving The Stage

McGraw has a lot going on this year, from filming Tommorowland with George Clooney to the release of his latest album Sundown Heaven Town back in September.

"I play a dad and a rocket scientist and one of those is a stretch," the singer joked of the upcoming sci-fi flick Tomorrowland. "You figure it out."

Familiar with Hollywood, McGraw has starred in a number of films over the years, though he still remembers the "best advice" anyone ever gave him about acting. "Billy Bob Thornton told me one time 'if you think you're not doing enough, you're probably doing too much'" noted McGraw, who has taken these words to heart.

As for his new album, the country star still gets a thrill from getting a song in the top 10 on the charts. "You never take those for granted," he explained, "And I think they get sweeter every time you get one."

McGraw has seen particular success this year with Meanwhile Back at Mama's, a duet he sang with his wife. When Alan asked McGraw about the most valuable lesson Hill had ever taught him, McGraw new exactly what to say.

"How to be a professional," he insisted. "Because she's such a pro at everything that she does. She's so good and it all comes to naturally to her. And to watch her and the way that she handles people… [She does it] in just a five star way."
