On Wednesday Taste of Country's Billy Dukes interviewed McGraw and decided to go through the singer's Wikipedia page asking whether or not certain facts were true or false (featured below).

Some of the Wikipedia information turned out to be accurate, while others included some pretty big errors.

It turns out McGraw was salutatorian when he graduated high school. He is also a member of the Italian American Hall of Fame.

The son of the famous baseball player Tug McGraw, it is commonly believed that the singer attended North West Louisiana University on a baseball scholarship. This, however, turned out to be untrue.

McGraw attended Northeast Louisiana University and paid his way by participating in a singing group. His time in the group, however, only lasted two semesters as one of the requirements for it was to take a music theory class. The singer, who couldn't read music, "faked" his way through for two semesters before ultimately calling it quits.

When Dukes asked McGraw if he'd ever consider running for office, has he's mentioned in the past, the singer laughed.

"That was back when I was drinking…" he said, adding sincerely. "I would never rule out never, but I wouldn't do anything like that unless I thought I could really make a difference."

As for his music career, it turns out the in-demand country artist eventually plans to say goodbye to live performances.

"I won't be on the stage at ninety five…" he admitted. "I don't want to say I'll ever retire, but I won't be doing it forever."

McGraw continues to live in Nashville with his wife and fellow country artist Faith Hill. They have three daughters.
