Gold medal winning gymnast McKayla Maroney seemed to have herself a fairly pleasant evening on Sunday when she took to Instagram to snap a shot of a magical view.

The gymnast posted the photo that shows a blue sky that's blended with some pink as the sun sets. Palm trees can be seen in the distance as they shadow the charismatic features.

Maroney captioned this image, "silent night."

The gymnast has apparently been a busy girl lately, according to her recent interview with Adidas where she gave a number of poses that show off her flexibility. She mentioned that as much as she loves gymnastics, there are some other goals she's setting herself up for.

"I'm currently training for the next Olympics. I'm in the gym 24/7- it's really enjoyable but at the end of the day, I also think about the bigger picture," Maroney said. "I really want to act and sing later in life so I've been taking those kinds of classes. I have lots of different goals and dreams- winning the Olympics was just one of them."

The 18-year-old then mentioned that going after what she wanted was a wise choice for her to make.

"Gymnastics has been a big stepping stone for me to get to do all of this," she said. "I've worked so hard to achieve my dreams because I truly love it. I've learned in life to do what you love and what makes you happy- it will always be worth it."
