While Lex Luthor and possibly The Joker will be around once the first Justice League movie comes out, the big rumor is in regards to the main villain, Brainiac.

The franchise will look to set-up Darkseid for future films. This begs the following question: What actors could take on the role of the Brainiac?

What Does Jared Leto Have To Say About Possibly Playing The Joker?

Three names that are yet to make it in the new stream of superhero movies that could be potential suitors are Jude Law, Clive Owen, and Cillian Murphy.

Law is probably the biggest name of the crew and has a history with working in blockbuster films such as Sherlock Holmes. Law is set to reteam  with Guy Ritchie for King Arthur as an antagonist in the near future. However, it is unclear whether his role will be recurring or a one-time thing.

Law, who has the acting chops to pull off a menacing strea, could be convincing as a formidable adversary against Batman, Superman, and the rest of the Justice League. It also would allow him to break into the superhero game.

Owen is someone who has yet to join the superhero ranks and has shown a kind of maniacal genius role with his recent work in the TV series, The Knick.

Lastly, Murphy, a wild card of sorts, actually does have the experience as a big bad in the DC universe, doning the role of Scarecrow in all three Christopher Nolan Batman movies. But these aren't canon anymor, and he could look to take on another villain role in order to have something more substantial and recurring.
