He's been on-screen for a while now on General Hospital, and even though his character doesn't quite remember who he is just yet, Billy Miller is excited to put his own spin on the iconic role of Jason Morgan.

Is a 'General Hospital' Actress Heading Over To 'The Bold and the Beautiful?'

The actor took over the role earlier this summer, and though he currently believes his name is Jake and doesn't remember anything about his former life, the reveal that he is truly Jason back from the dead is coming-but Miller wants to make sure fans understand he can't be Steve Burton, who portrayed the role for 20 years until 2012.

"It would be ridiculous for me to mimic [the way Burton played him]," Miller said in an interview with North Jersey.com.

And though he soon will be Jason once more, he does intend to bring some of the levity from the Jake character into his role as Jason.

"It's more fun in this genre whenever you can add some lightness to it or make it funny," he said. "You don't get a lot of room for that so I usually look for it. It's a scary position for this guy who is so lost and doesn't know who he is, [so] you match that with a little bit of humor."

But even though elements of Jake will still present in Jason's personality, Miller is looking forward to when the two identities truly collide, because of what they could mean for the role.

"it really does offer up some great story if we decide to go there. I really hope that's how we ex-lore this because I feel like that might be more my strength," he said.
