Scandal star Kerry Washington, who plays a political fixer in the ABC hit show, may be trying to fix things here in the real world.

Following the decision not to charge officer Darren Wilson, the police officer responsible for killing unarmed black teen Michael Brown, the city of Ferguson, M.O., and cities around the world, have been participating in protests demanding a change within the justice system.

Just a couple of weeks after the grand jury's decision, New York Police officer Daniel Pantaleo was also acquitted of charges after killing Eric Garner, and cities around the world have continued to express their outrage.

These cases have sparked public protests and rallies around the world and celebrities are showing their support too.

Washington recently took to Twitter to share her thoughts on both of the cases and she is letting the world know that she stands with the peaceful protestors who are demanding change in our country.

On Nov. 24, the actress simply wrote 'surreal' to describe the emotions she felt after the grand jury's decision on the Brown case, and on Dec. 3, she hashtagged '#ICantBreathe' in support of Garner.

While the Scandal star is busy shooting her hit show, she did take the time out to express her gratitude to those who are participating in civil protests.

"To all you peaceful protesters who are out there tonight: THANK YOU! I AM WITH YOU IN SPIRIT. #EricGarner #ICantBreathe #BlackLivesMatter'

It's clear that Washington is a gladiator both on and off the screen and there's no problem that she isn't willing to try and fix.
