Ink Master judge Dave Navarro dished on his thoughts of how things have progressed this season on the series, including his confidence in Jason Clay Dunne.

Dunne, who has had more than 20 years of tattooing experience, has made a tremendous amount of effort in the reality competition- something Navarro has noticed based on his interview with International Business Times posted on Friday.

"I had hopes for Jason, of course; he is a great guy and has been with us before," he said. "I wanted him to do well. In fact, Jason is one of the only Ink Master contestants who has tattooed me!"

Navarro then admitted that he was a little hesitant on how Jason would do since he didn't seem all there.

"He has done some outstanding work on the show, but he has also made some strange choices, so I was uncertain as his ability to take a spot in the final three," Navarro said. "He is kind of a wild card in the sense that sometimes his head gets in the way of his craft. I had confidence that his talent could get him there, I just worried that his head wouldn't let him."

Navarro then pointed out that he has his own ways of expressing his thoughts to the contestants, one of them being Mark Longenecker who didn't always impress the judges.

"He has paid his dues and has been recognized by the community for years," Navarro said about Longenecker. "I think that Oliver and Chris pushed his so hard because they know he has the ability to pull off great work."

The Ink Master: Rival finale will air on Tuesday, December 16 at 10 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
