On Monday, the Showtime network announced that Mad Men star Christina Hendricks would star along side Luke Wilson in a new comedy pilot called Roadies.

The new show Roadies revolves around the life of a road and tech crew whose band is on a mega-tour.

Hendricks will play the band's resourceful manager who serves as the right hand to the band's tour manager, played by Wilson.

According to Variety, "Hendricks has been a sought-after leading lady ever since Mad Men provided her breakout role as the savvy secretary-turned-executive Joan Harris on Mad Men. She's been featured in numerous indie and studio features, including Drive, Ginger & Rosa, I Don't Know How She Does It and Life As We Know It, but Roadies marks her first move in TV since Mad Men wrapped production on its final episodes earlier this year."

Hendricks and Wilson will also be joined by a number of other cast members.

Imogen Poots will play an electrical technician, Keisha Castle-Hughes will play the sound mixer, Peter Cambor will star as the guitar tech and Rafe Spall is said to perform the role of the financial manager sent to babysit the crew.

The comedy, created by Cameron Crowe and J.J. Abrams, is said to begin shooting in Vancouver, Canada in the early part of the New Year.

Crowe will be directing the first episode, Winnie Holzman will act as the show runner and Abrams will serve as one of the executive producers.
