The Mad Men cast and fans alike are prime examples of the idea that letting go can sometimes be hard to do.  On Wednesday, AMC premiered the first episode of the last season for its hit period drama series at LA's 14-screen multiplex, ArcLight Hollywood, and reportedly the crew was reluctant to part ways.

Don Draper Didn't Even Care About "That Affair Until Sylvia Ended It?"

The show has been revolutionary not only for television, but also for some of the actor's careers. On Thursday, Variety dished on season 7 and noted, "AMC's Mad Men has reinvented television and made household names out of stars like Jon Hamm." Hamm, who plays the main character on the show, Don Draper, was a relatively unknown name prior to landing this role. In 2008, the actor's performance garnered him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Additionally, the fashion statements seen on the show are seemingly so infectious, that they have carried over into the real lives of the cast and fans. "The show has had a considerable impact on fans' personal wardrobes and home décor - something that even the cast hasn't been able to escape off screen," told Variety.

Don Draper Faces The Consequences Of His Actions In Final Episodes?

Moreover, actress Christina Hendricks who plays Joan Harris on the show, discussed how hard the ending of Mad Men would be during an interview. "The anticipation of it all ending is just kind of heartbreaking. We are all going to try to enjoy the final season as much as possible. It will be the most emotional," admitted Hendricks.

Alas, as Geoffrey Chaucer first said in the 1370s, "all good things must come to an end." To see how the story unravels, catch Mad Men on AMC, starting Sunday April 13 at 10 p.m.
