Heart throb swimmer Ryan Lochte spoke to Matt Lauer on "Today" Thursday morning about his highly publicized breaststroke race this weekend against the recent controversy-ridden Prince Harry. Lochte had stated that it was the royal one's idea to challenge him in the Las Vegas nightclub pool.

"We were at the same pool party and his people came over to my table and said Prince Harry wants to meet you.  I took my shirt off and we started racing," Lochte explained.

"Well, the first thing I said was, 'You sure you want to lose?' And he was like, 'Sure, 'cmon, let's go.'  And you know what?  He's an actual, pretty good swimmer," he continued.

While chuckling a bit, Lauer then asked the 28-year-old if he had been invited to Harry's luxury suite for what turned out to be the site of the naked Prince Harry pics.

"So after the race did he say, 'Hey Ryan, I'm throwing another kind of party in my hotel room, would you like to show up at that?" Lauer asked.

"No, no, he never said anything like that," Lochte responded, adding that he was "kinda happy" he wasn't invited. "I don't need that," Lochte said.

It had been reported by TMZ on Wednesday that the Prince along with his entourage had met some pretty women at the Wynn hotel bar and invited them up to his VIP suite on Monday. Soon after, he had involved himself in a wild game of strip pool that led to his complete nudity with a mystery woman being photographed.
