Fans have been hoping that a new season of Breaking Amish could be in the works for some time, and there's a chance that they could be in for a real treat whenever the show does air again.

Abe and Rebecca Schmucker, who married at the end of their original season and have since had their second child together on their Return to Amish season, posted about a family road trip they took over the holidays on their Facebook page-and made a pit stop to hang out with one of the recent stars of the cast that filmed in Brooklyn.

"Breaking Amish and Breaking Amish: Brooklyn!! Was awesome to meet this great couple!! They have our sense of humor and we had a lot of laughs!" the couple captioned a post sharing two photos of themselves with Barbie from the recent season and her English fiancé, Lester.

The two couples have some similarities, as both consist of people who left the Amish life behind in favor of English ones. Rebecca and Abe both did so on their season of the show, heading to New York City and falling in love in the process. Lester left the Amish a few years back, with Barbie finally choosing to do the same so she could marry Lester after her season in Brooklyn.

Though a cross-over season wouldn't likely be the case, it would be a new twist on the franchise, which has seen great success with both casts.

TLC has not officially given word on a new season being filmed, or hinted anything about potential cast members.
