Rihanna, Pattison Texts: Singer Sends 'Sexy, Funny' Text Messages (Details)

Robert Pattinson may not be so lonely after all since his breakup in July with Kristen Stewart.

The "Twilight" star has reportedly been receiving "sexy, funny" text messages from pop singer Rihanna.

"They've met several times at award bashes over the years," a friend of the "S&M" singer reportedly told OK! magazine. "RiRi thinks he's very cute, but nothing ever came of it because he was attached to Kristen - and it's not her style to steal someone else's man."

"She got Rob's phone number from a mutual friend and has been sending him sexy, funny texts to cheer him up," the insider added. "At first, Rob thought someone Punk'd him. Eventually Rihanna convinced him she was for real, but Rob has been resisting her."

Pattinson's friends have reportedly told him to "start enjoying life again."

"Rihanna would love to meet up with him. And Rob's friends keep telling him he has to start enjoying life again. What better person to help cheer him up than Rihanna?" the singer's friend added.

It was revealed in late July that Stewart cheated on Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. US Weekly published the photos of Stewart kissing Sanders and afterwards, the "Twilight" actress issued a public apology to her British boyfriend.

Pattinson moved out of the Los Feliz, Calif., he shared with Stewart and has been staying at the vacation home of his "Water For Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon. He recently completed a press tour in New York promoting his latest film "Cosmopolis" and last week he appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and joked with the host that he is now "homeless."

Rihanna has been in the news recently in relation to other celebrity men as well. 

She appeared on a recent episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" in which she revealed that she is single but still loves Chris Brown, even after he was arrested for assaulting her in 2009.

"We've been working on our friendship again," a tearful Rihanna told Winfrey.

She was also photographed hanging out with Rob Kardashian on Saturday, Aug. 25. The pair went go-kart racing at the Racer's Edge Indoor Karting track in Burbank, Calif., according to Daily Mail. There is no word if the two are romantically linked or hanging out as platonic friends.
