Phylicia Rashad defended the legacy of her TV husband Bill Cosby on Nightline earlier this week. Since then, she's received backlash from women all over social media for sticking up for a man who has allegedly sexually assaulted dozens of women. Still, she has no intention of taking back her statement and hopes "God blesses" all of the opposition.

During her January 8th "Hot Topics" segment, Wendy Williams shared her own opinion on Phylicia's decision to speak out. To her, Rashad should have kept her thoughts to herself. She said, "She shouldn't have answered the phone... And I get the legacy of "The Cosby Show" and everything, unfortunately that legacy has gone the way of Michael Jackson."

She added, "Before you think of the music, you think of the boys."

Unlike Jackson, Cosby's allegations have yet to be tried in a court of law. Several women have gathered together to sue him for libel, but he has not been charged with any assault crimes, which was one of the main reasons why Phylicia felt she needed to speak out. Still, Wendy thinks she should have left the scandal alone.

"I think she would have been better off being silent. I don't think I would've been comfortable calling him, either," Wendy said. "Next thing you know, they want you to give statements and make appearances."

She ended her rant with a bit of advice for anyone watching, "Even when you want to help your friends, sometimes there's certain kind of help you can't give... Bye Phylicia!"
