Jay -Z was photographed carrying his daughter Blue Ivy as they exited a helicopter in New York on Thursday, Aug. 30.

The rap mogul was protectively carrying his eight-month-old who was sporting a pair of blue headphones to protect her little ears from the loud noise from the helicopter propellers.

The photos show a smiling Carter looking down at his daughter as he clutches her close to his chest.

Little Blue was wearing a simple beige one piece-outfit for the day trip without her mother Beyonce.

Beyonce and Jay Z are known for being protectve of Blue Ivy being photographed by papazzi. When the 30-year-old steps out with their infant daughter in public, she is usually covered up in a blanket to protect her from prying eyes. The "Love On Top" singer recently posted a picture of just the back of their daughter on her Tumblr page on Aug. 13, showing the new mom feeding the 8-month-old. Several photos taken on mobiles have leaked of the singer with Blue Ivy.

The black-and-white image shows Blue's full set of hair, sporting a T-shirt listing her father Jay-Z's "Watch the Throne" tour dates, where he will be performing with Kanye West.

Jay-Z will be in Philadelphia this Labor Day weekend for the Made In America Music festival. The "Hard Knock Life" rapper teamed up with Budweiser and Live Nation to create the two-day event where music acts of several genres will perform including Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Santigold, D'Angelo and Run DMC. 50,000 ticket holders are expected to attend each day with millions to tune into the Pandora and YouTube livestream broadcasts.
