Miranda Lambert hasn't always trusted her talents, but deep down she knows who she is.

Miranda Lambert Reveals Her First Big Talent

The Somethin' Bad singer played two truths and a lie with People on Tuesday and more than anything her answers showed her to be humble, honest and a lot of fun.

"It's scary to meet your heroes," admitted Lambert, who claimed that she still gets starstruck despite being one of the industry's top performers. She added that she's sometimes feared her heroes would ultimately let her down, though so far many of them have been just as wonderful as she'd hoped they'd be.

Even more surprising than Lambert's tendency to get nervous around stars is perhaps the fact that she doesn't really see herself as a singer. Apparently Lambert has always considered herself a songwriter who could "kind of sing." She never thought that much of her capabilities as a singer until her husband, fellow country star Blake Shelton, encouraged her to be bolder.

"Blake really pushed me as a singer," admitted Lambert. "I never thought I was a singer…And he was like 'You need to start singing. I don't know where you got that in your head.' And him being such an amazing vocalist, it's great to have him this close in my life."

While Shelton and Lambert are both country singers, the married couple don't just play country music around the house. In fact, their tastes might even be surprising.

"We listen to Monster Mash probably every morning…" declared Lambert. "It makes us happy and I love Halloween, so why not? Everyone has a couple's song, ours is Monster Mash."

Lambert began her Certified Platinum Tour this month, while Shelton is out in Los Angeles filming NBC's The Voice.
