Dean Shermet has spoken out about rumors regarding his upcoming book.

LeAnn Rimes' Reality Show Gets Axed

Following reports, which claimed he was working on a tell-all book about the end of his marriage to country star LeAnn Rimes, Shermet has released a statement, revealing what his book will really be about.

"I'm working on a book that is an inspirational cookbook about how I regained myself by disappearing from the Hollywood craziness and establishing my own roots through hard work and a lifelong passion for healthy eating," Sheremet told Us Weekly on Friday. "It's a story that anyone who has had their a-- kicked by life at some point can relate to."

On Wednesday, In Touch Weekly first reported on Shermet's book, claiming it would include details about Rimes' affair with her now-husband, Eddie Cibrian.

“[Shermet] has received multiple big-money offers from publishers and is deciding who to go with,” a source told the magazine.

Rimes and Shermet got married in 2002, one year after they met, and split in 2009, following the release of telling photos of Rimes and her Northern Lights co-star, Cibrian. Since their split, Shermet has kept a low-profile in the press, and distanced himself from his ex-wife.

"We don't really talk," he told Access Hollywood in 2013. "I have no animosity toward her. I have nothing but love for her, and I really wish her the best. But we don't really talk that much. There's not really a need to."
