They've been married for five months already, but Jenny McCarthy still hasn't taken her husband Donnie Wahlberg's last name-and she's finally revealing her reason why.

Jenny McCarthy Comes Under Fire For Her Views On Vaccination

In an interview with E! News, she has revealed that she isn't officially Mrs. Wahlberg yet because she doesn't want to be-it's truly a matter of not having time to complete the proper paperwork.

"We have discussed it and I am ready to be Jenny Wahlberg," the Dirty Sexy Funny host said. "I just haven't been through the paperwork."

"We work seven days a week and it's not as easy as I thought," she added. "You don't just go to the DMV and take a new picture. There is a lot to be done."

And though she previously asserted her independence in the past and never wanted to change her last name, she has since changed her mind about the whole idea.

"I remember way back when I was Miss Independent. I would never take anybody's name and as I get older, I want to be the girl," she said. "I'm so tired of being that strong, independent woman."

"I want to be dependent and a girl and a wife and domesticated," she added. "I crave it after being alone for so long. I want to be Mrs. Wahlberg."

However, even if McCarthy was still more on the independent side, Wahlberg would be supportive of her decision to keep her name, because he believes she's deserves to have the fame she's worked hard for-and doesn't need to have her name changed professionally at all.

"It should be Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and professionally, Jenny McCarthy," he said. "She worked her ass off for so many years to be in the position she's in her career that there's no reason to put my name on the back of that."
